Purpose To originate residential mortgage loans to meet individual and department production goals. Assists members with their financing needs in addition to implementing a sales call program to service realtors and brokers in our market areas to develop new mortgage business. Work is subject to review and / or audit on a no-notice basis my Management, Supervisory Committee, auditors and / or government regulators.   Roles & Responsibilities Provides excellent service to existing and prospective members seeking residential mortgage information. Establishes relationships with and calls on Realtors, Builders, Developers and other professionals in order to increase mortgage activity and expand mortgage referral network. Interviews members to determine what mortgage program best meets their needs. Completes mortgage application, explains documents to applicants and ensures accuracy of the mortgage file. Obtains and analyzes pertinent financial data. Communicates with member on the progress of the application. Maintains full knowledge of all government, investor and internal policies and procedures to insure compliance. Participates in community and AmeriCU sponsored events.   Reports To This position reports directly to Manager, Residential Mortgage Department.   Qualifications Education: Associates Degree in a related field, or equivalent work experience. Experience: A minimum of one - (1) year experience in Residential Mortgage Lending. Communication: Must demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, as well as strong negotiation, organizational, and analytical skills. Team Management: Must possess strong skills that facilitate collaboration in a team environment. Industry Knowledge: Working knowledge of the mortgage loan process. Software: Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Internet use required to produce reports and presentations.
