AmeriCU Opens New Branches, Promotes Employees ROME, NY — January 24, 2008 ROME-AmeriCU Credit Union announced today the opening of three new branches in the following areas: Herkimer, Lowville & Cicero. AmeriCU has 14 branches that serve the Central New York area. Representatives from AmeriCU are pleased to announce that many of its staff members have been promoted to manage and operate the new branches. Ease and convenience is the focus of each branch with the new state-of-the-art technology, the first of its kind in Central New York. The kiosks will allow members to do a multitude of transactions such as cash withdrawal & deposit; check withdrawal & deposit; fast cash; transfer funds; check their principal loan payments; view account history; change contact information and more. AmeriCU staff will be on-site to assist members and service will continue to be the number one priority for the membership. The kiosks’ role at the new branches serve as part of AmeriCU’s fast, friendly and convenient service to accommodate the growing needs and wants of its membership. AmeriCU is the first financial institution to offer this technology in upstate New York. Herkimer Branch: EFK Plaza 326 E State St. Jennifer Viti, Branch Supervisor. Jennifer has been with AmeriCU for more than 13 years. She is currently attending MVCC working toward her Associate’s Degree. She resides in North Utica with her husband and two sons. She enjoys her free time with her family. Michael Cook has been promoted to a Senior MRA (Member Relations Advisor) and has been with AmeriCU for two years. He holds an Associates Degree from HCCC and resides in Frankfort with his wife and three children. Mike enjoys spending time with his family and looks forward to serving the members in the Herkimer area. Cicero Branch: 6414 State Rt. 31 Danielle Hatashita, Branch Manager. Danielle has been with AmeriCU for eight years and has more than 10 years experience in the banking industry. She is a graduate of C.W. Baker High School in Baldwinsville; holds a degree in nursing and is currently completing coursework for a banking degree. Danielle resides in Baldwinsville with her husband of 22 years and has two children. They enjoy camping, attending concerts, boating and going out to dinner. She is actively involved in the American Heart Association and is eager to serve the community of Cicero. Heather Wood is a Member Relationship Advisor who has been with AmeriCU for nearly five years. She has more than ten years of customer service experience and attended the University of Utah and is currently completing her final course work to receive a General Banking diploma and a Consumer Lending Diploma. Heather resides in Baldwinsville with her husband Chris. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, attending concerts and participates in running events. Sara Hansen, Member Relations Advisor, has been with AmeriCU over one year. She has more than five years in the banking and finance industry and is currently working on a degree in accounting. Sara and her husband Jonathan of seven years, reside in Syracuse with their two children. Sara teaches Sunday school at the Syracuse Vineyard; enjoys spending time with family and friends and is looking forward to getting settled into their new community in Cicero. Kimberly Shanahan has been promoted from a part-time teller at AmeriCU’s Liverpool branch to a full-time Member Service Specialist in the Cicero Branch. She has over 5 years of experience in the banking field. Kimberly resides in Clay with her husband and son. She is the Secretary for the Phoenix Little League and enjoys gardening, traveling and family activities. Gi-Gi Giangotti comes to the Cicero branch from AmeriCU’s Syracuse branch. She is a Member Service Specialist. Gi-Gi has been with AmeriCU for five years and has more than 25 years experience in the banking industry. She has four children. Angela Wingerter, is a Member Service Specialist with AmeriCU. She resides in Canastota with her husband Peter and has four children. In her spare time she enjoys bowling. Lowville Branch: 7394 Utica Blvd. Penelope McCafferty is the Branch Supervisor of the Lowville Branch. Penny has been with AmeriCU for more than three years. She was born in the United Kingdom and lived in Bahrain where she worked for Zurich Financial Services as a PA and Branch Secretary. She also met her husband in Bahrain, who serves for the US Army as a Black Hawk Pilot. The couple and their son moved to the US in April 2002 and now reside in the village of Croghan. She is also a Notary Public and enjoys traveling. Tina Lanier, Senior Member Relations Advisor, has ten years of experience in the banking industry. She is married with four children and resides in Copenhagen and enjoys reading, traveling, winter sports and a variety of crafts.
