How do ATM transactions work with Member Privilege?
- Members may have access to the Member Privilege amount at the ATM.
- Existing Overdraft Protection set up as a resource from Savings and/or a Line of Credit is available at the ATM. If additional funds are needed to cover the transaction, these resources will be accessed before Member Privilege.
- To avoid accessing Member Privilege, a balance inquiry should be done prior to the transaction. When members perform a balance inquiry on their accounts, the balance will not include the Member Privilege amount.
- The balance members receive after making a withdrawal will not include the Member Privilege amount.
- If Member Privilege has been accessed, the ATM receipt will reflect a negative balance.
- If member exceeds his/her Member Privilege limit, the transaction will be denied.
How do Visa Check Card POS (Debit- PIN # required) transactions work with Member Privilege?
- Members may have access to the Member Privilege amount for any point of sale (POS) transaction.
- Existing Overdraft Protection set up as a resource from Savings and/or a Line of Credit is available at Visa Check Card POS. If additional funds are needed to cover the transaction, these resources will be accessed before Member Privilege. Member Privilege will only be accessed if these resources have been exhausted.
- As the member does not have the ability to inquire on the balance during this type of transaction, to avoid accessing Member Privilege, balance inquiry should be done online or by phone prior to transactions. The balance inquiry will not include the Member Privilege limit.
- The POS receipt will not reflect a balance.
- If member exceeds his/her Member Privilege limit, the transaction will be denied.
How do Visa Check Card Credit side (signature required) transactions work with Member Privilege?
- Members may have access to the Member Privilege amount for any Visa Check Card "Credit" transaction.
- Existing Overdraft Protection set up as a resource from Savings and/or a Line of Credit is available with a Visa Check Card "Credit" transaction. If additional funds are needed to cover the transaction, these resources will be accessed before Member Privilege. Member Privilege will only be accessed if these resources have been exhausted.
- As the member does not have the ability to inquire on the balance during this type of transaction, to avoid accessing Member Privilege, a balance inquiry should be done online or by phone prior to transactions. The balance inquiry will not include the Member Privilege limit.
- The receipt will not reflect a balance.
- If member exceeds his/her Member Privilege limit, the transaction will be denied.
How do Online Banking transactions work with Member Privilege?
- Members do not have access to the Member Privilege when using online banking.
- Balance reflected online will not include the Member Privilege amount.
How does Telelink (Voice Response Unit) work with Member Privilege?
- Members do not have access to the Member Privilege when using our Telelink Service. (Voice Response Unit)
- The balance provided on Telelink will not include the Member Privilege amount.
How do Bill Pay transactions work with Member Privilege?
- Members may have access to the Member Privilege amount for any scheduled Bill Pay transaction.
- Existing Overdraft Protection set up as a resource from Savings and/or a Line of Credit is available with Bill Pay. If additional funds are needed to cover the transaction, these resources will be accessed before Member Privilege. Member Privilege will only be accessed if these resources have been exhausted.
- If member exceeds his/her Member Privilege limit, the transaction will be denied.
How do ACH and ONUS Drafts (through batch posting) work with Member Privilege?
- Members may have access to the Member Privilege amount for any ACH and/or ONUS draft posted through batch posting.
- Existing Overdraft Protection set up as a resource from Savings and/or a Line of Credit is available with ACH and/or ONUS drafts cleared through batch posting. If additional funds are needed to cover the transaction, these resources will be accessed before Member Privilege. Member Privilege will only be accessed if these resources have been exhausted.
- If member exceeds his/her Member Privilege limit, the ACH transaction and/or ONUS share draft will be returned for insufficient funds.
How does Member Privilege work at the Teller Line?
- Member Privilege is only available at the Teller Line when party is cashing or depositing an ONUS draft.
- Existing Overdraft Protection set up as a resource from Savings and/or a Line of Credit is available with ONUS drafts transacted at the Teller Line. If additional funds are needed to cover the transaction, these resources will be accessed before Member Privilege. Member Privilege will only be accessed if these resources have been exhausted.
- Tellers will communicate the balance to the account owner without the Member Privilege limit.
- Tellers will notify account owners when they are using the Member Privilege amount. This will allow them to decide if they want to continue with the transaction.
- The receipt provided by the teller will not include the Member Privilege amount as part of the balance.
- If the ONUS draft is being negotiated by someone other than the account owner, the transaction will be allowed to go into Member Privilege if necessary to clear the draft. The person transacting will not be advised of this by the Teller.
How are members notified when they use the Member Privilege limit?
- Members will receive a notice in the mail each time items are paid.
