AmeriCU Salute to the Troops Tribute Concert

Based at Fort Drum, NY the 10th Mountain Division is a light infantry division of the United States Army. The division is comprised of four subordinates of Brigade Combat Teams, a Combat Aviation Brigade, and a Special Troops Battalion. The 10th Mountain Division is among one of the most deployed units of the United States Army. Each year, the Division of Family, Morale, Welfare & Recreation holds the day‐long MountainFest event at Division Hill on Fort Drum.

For the past three years, AmeriCU was proud to present the AmeriCU Salute to the Troops Tribute concert to thank the soldiers of the United States Army, 10th Mountain Division, Fort Drum, for their valiant service to our country. More than 20,000 people attended the 2012, 2013 & 2014 concerts, which were free and open to the public with fireworks following.

The 2014 AmeriCU Salute to the Troops Tribute Concert was held June 25th at 6PM as part of the U.S. Army Morale, Welfare & Recreation Division's MountainFest on Fort Drum. The Salute to the Troops Concert lineup featured national recording artists Chris Cagle and Gloriana with Syracuse Area Music Award’s 2013 People’s Choice Winner Scars N' Stripes. Thanks to the support of major co-sponsors Carthage Area Hospital, Lockheed Martin, Martin's Point, FX Caprara Volkswagen & USO, Fort Drum we were able to show our profound gratitude to the troops and their families.

In 2013, the concert was held the evening of June 26th on Fort Drum. AmeriCU partnered with Lockheed Martin, Carthage Area Hospital, and Martin's Point to bring our troops national country recording artist Craig Morgan, North Country Idol winner Corey Walts, and Syracuse Area Music Awards 2013 People's Choice Winner Scars N' Stripes. The 2013 AmeriCU Salute to the Troops concert was recognized by Credit Union National Association (CUNA) as the best PR event in the country. Moreover, AmeriCU was honored to receive the Dora Maxwell Social Responsibility Community Service Award from the Credit Union Association of New York in recognition of our Salute to the Troops Tribute Concert.

In 2012, AmeriCU introduced the inaugural Salute to the Troops Tribute Concert which was held June 28th on Fort Drum. AmeriCU partnered with Lockheed Martin, Martin's Point & Clear Channel to bring our troops national recording artist Jake Owen. The 2012 AmeriCU Salute to the Troops concert was recognized by the National Association of Federal Credit Unions as the best promotional event in the country and was recognized by the Credit Union National Association (CUNA) in the Community/PR category.
