AmeriCU Credit Union Announces Buy Local Campaign

November 04, 2013

AmeriCU Credit Union is offering a Buy Local Credit Card usage campaign. As a local, member-owned, not-for-profit financial institution, AmeriCU knows first-hand the impact we all make when we BUY LOCAL. For every $100 you spend at locally owned companies, farms restaurants, and shops, roughly $30 more stays right here in the local community. This strengthens the local economy, supports local not-for-profits, preserves the unique character of the region, reduces transportation costs and pollution, invests tax dollars in local infrastructure and public services and creates and sustains local jobs for local people. Clearly buying local really matters! From November 15 through December 31, 2013, AmeriCU is offering double CURewards® points to qualifying members on purchases made in any of the following local counties to qualifying members:

Cayuga Chenango Cortland Fulton Hamilton Herkimer Jefferson Lewis Madison Montgomery Oneida Onondaga Oswego Otsego Seneca Saint Lawrence Tompkins Wayne

The good news? You don’t have to enroll, or do anything special – just use your qualifying AmeriCU Credit Card to BUY LOCAL this holiday season – and enjoy those double rewards points! (Purchases made anywhere outside the counties listed above will continue to accrue one point per $1.)

If you don’t have one our credit cards, contact us at 1.800.388.2000 to apply today!  Ask a representative for details.
