AmeriCU Credit Union Partners with USO in the Month of April
April 01, 2012
Judith Cowden, Vice President, Member Relations and Marketing of AmeriCU Credit Union, has announced a partnership with the USO to celebrate both national “Credit Union Youth Month” and “Month of Military Child” at all the AmeriCU financial center locations throughout the month of April.
In a combined effort to encourage youth savings, and thank service members and their families, when a child opens a “Rising Stars” or “Stars and Stripes” Saving Account at any AmeriCU location, AmeriCU will deposit $5 in the child’s account and will donate another $5 in the child’s name to the USO to benefit children of military members. AmeriCU will be collecting new and gently used books to be donated through the USO to military families stationed at Fort Drum, with the goal to collect 1,500 books in the month of April. In support of the Credit Union National Association youth month theme of “Super Saver”, AmeriCU Credit Union will have super hero giveaways and entertainment for children throughout the month of April. Information on AmeriCU’s financial center locations can be found at www.AmeriCU.org.
