AmeriCU Launches Wish-Upon-A-Star Campaign

November 06, 2013

AmeriCU Credit Union is celebrating International Credit Union Day in a special way this year. The theme of International Credit Union Day 2013 is “Credit Unions Unite for Good”. AmeriCU will celebrate by launching our “Wish-Upon-A-Star” campaign with one simple goal: to give hospitalized children a nice holiday. From October 17th through December 13th, we will encourage our members to visit any AmeriCU location to drop off new-in-box, unwrapped items from the Upstate Golisano Children’s Hospital’s holiday wish list. Of course a monetary donation will also be welcome.

The week of December 16th, AmeriCU will deliver items to the hospital on behalf of our membership, demonstrating the power of how AmeriCU members truly “Unite for Good”.

Also throughout the rest of the year, employees are encouraged to volunteer for the not-for-profit organization of their choice and to submit their stories/pictures/videos in a CU Employee Volunteer of the Year contest.

AmeriCU Credit Union is a not-for-profit financial cooperative serving eight counties in Central and Northern New York.
