ROME, NY – NOVEMBER 6, 2025: AmeriCU Credit Union has taken a strategic step in shaping the future of the credit union by creating a brand-new leadership role: Senior Vice President of Digital Innovation. With extensive experience in the field, Kevin Porter has been appointed to lead this effort.
Having worked with large financial institutions, credit unions, and fintechs to improve member experience and drive innovation, Kevin brings a strong background in digital strategy and transformation. Kevin also launched his own consulting firm, helping organizations bridge the gap between vision and execution. His goal is to use innovation to simplify, personalize, and humanize member experience in a way that is both convenient and impactful, while prioritizing real connections.
“What drew me to AmeriCU was the authenticity of its people and the purpose-driven culture,” said Kevin. “This is an organization that genuinely puts members and employees at the center of every decision. I’m excited to help connect strategy, technology, and culture in a way that will shape AmeriCU’s mission for the future.”
Outside of his professional work, Kevin is passionate about mentorship and community involvement. He has supported programs focused on leadership development, neurodiversity awareness, and families impacted by autism. Kevin earned both his MBA and Bachelor of Science degrees from Marist College in Poughkeepsie, NY.
The addition of this new role reflects a growing trend across the financial industry – building digital experiences that are human-centered. AmeriCU is embracing the future by investing in innovation that makes banking more personal. AmeriCU proudly welcomes Kevin to the team and looks forward to the expertise and energy he brings to the team.
