eALERTS and Fraud Alerts


AmeriCU eALERTS allow you to monitor your account activity with real-time notifications via text message or email. Set up automated notifications about your account, including alerts for:

  • Low balance
  • Loan payment due
  • Withdrawals
  • Daily summaries
  • and more!

Choose which eALERTS  you want to receive and how you want to receive them. Real-time alerts can even be set up for transactions made with your VISA Debit Card!

To Enroll in eALERTS:

  1. Log into Online Banking
  2. Choose “Additional Services”
  3. Click on “Text Banking & Alerts”
  4. Follow the instructions on the screen

AmeriCU Fraud Alerts

At AmeriCU, we’re serious about protecting you from fraudulent activity on your accounts. By signing up for AmeriCU Fraud Alerts,  you’ll be notified when suspicious activity has been detected with your account. Our automated system will contact you be text or phone. You can immediately take action by texting a provided command word, or interacting with the automated system on the phone by simply following the instructions to answer questions regarding your recent card activity. Our live agents will also be ready to assist you at any time to ensure you receive the best defense exactly when you need it.

If you are currently enrolled in Fraud Alerts and have received a new AmeriCU EMV VISA® Debit Card, you must re-enroll to receive Fraud Alerts on your new VISA Debit Card.

To Enroll in Fraud Alerts for your AmeriCU Debit or Credit Card:

  1. Log into Online Banking
  2. Choose “Additional Services”
  3. Click on “Debit/Credit Card Fraud Alerts”
  4. Follow the instructions on the screen

Members should be aware that, while AmeriCU does monitor fraudulent or suspicious account activity and may proactively contact a member about this activity, we will never call and ask for confidential information such as your entire account number or PIN. Contact our Member Service Center at 1.800.388.2000 if you have any questions about your account or the validity of a call or text message you have received.
