All Mountain Valley accounts automatically converted to comparable AmeriCU accounts — no action is needed! You still have your favorite Savings, Checking, Share Certificates, and Money Market accounts, now with enhanced perks and features.

  • Checking Accounts: Your account is now AmeriCU Freedom Checking — simple, flexible, and loaded with benefits. You can explore other checking options if you’d like.
  • Savings Accounts: These converted to AmeriCU Share Savings accounts.
  • Share Certificates: Keeping it steady — same rates, same terms, same maturity dates.

Temporary ATM downtime may occur during system upgrades, but don’t worry — any fees from third-party ATMs during that period will be reimbursed. Additionally, new coin machines are scheduled to arrive the week of December 8. While installation is underway, our tellers will be happy to accept rolled coins.

  1. Make sure to review and update all of your recurring deposits and scheduled withdrawals so that they continue to process correctly without interruption.
  2. Don’t forget to activate your newly issued debit cards to ensure you can access your funds and make purchases seamlessly.
  3. In addition, take a moment to re-enroll in any account restatements or reporting services you rely on, so that your financial records remain accurate and up to date.

As with your debit card, your personal checks will still clear during this transaction. You can order checks by calling Deluxe directly at 1.877.838.5287 and using your new AmeriCU checking account information provided in this letter or contact an AmeriCU representative for assistance at www.AmeriCU.org or 800.388.2000. AmeriCU will reimburse the cost for your first book of new checks. 

Any existing automatic payments will still clear during this transition window, but we recommend taking this time to adjust all automatic payments to your new account numbers to avoid any potential issues.

Yes, you will need to update your direct deposit information with your employer, though any existing deposits will still post and be accessible during this transition period. If you need assistance please contact us by phone 315.356.300 and select option 2 for the merger queue. You can also send this form to your employer to ease the process. (Direct Deposit gets you paid one day earlier!)

Yes, you will need to update your direct deposit information with Social Security if you receive benefits.

Yes you will have new account numbers at AmeriCU. You can find both our AmeriCU routing number and your new account numbers in Online & Mobile Banking.
