ROME, NY – OCTOBER 22, 2025: Homeownership is not out of reach with AmeriCU Credit Union and the Federal Home Loan Bank of New York’s Homebuyer Dream Program (HDP), Homebuyer Dream Program Plus (HDP Plus), and the New Homebuyer Dream Program Wealth Builder (HDP Wealth Builder).
Additional grant funds of up to $10,000 have been made available to assist eligible first-time homebuyers with down payments, closing costs, and counseling services. Additional programs are also available to support first-generation homebuyers in qualifying communities.
“Buying a home for the first time is incredibly exciting but can also be a little scary,” said Mary Leuthauser, AmeriCU’s AVP of Mortgage Loan Operations. “Our mortgage team is knowledgeable in guiding applicants through available grant opportunities to help first-time buyers overcome financial challenges – making their dream of homeownership a reality!”
