AmeriCU Credit Union Doubles Paid Volunteer Time to Give Employees More Time to Volunteer

AmeriCU News

ROME, NY – FEBRUARY 9, 2026: AmeriCU Credit Union is enhancing its volunteerism program by doubling the paid volunteer time available to employees, from 8 hours to 16 hours per year – giving team members even more opportunity to support the causes they care about.

“At AmeriCU, we encourage our employees to support the causes they care about,” said Ron Belle, President and CEO of AmeriCU Credit Union. “This enhanced benefit reflects our dedication to service and empowers every employee to contribute in their own meaningful way.”

Community has always been at the heart of who we are at AmeriCU. To us, it means more than having a financial center nearby – it means showing up, giving back, and making a meaningful impact where it matters most. Employees can use this time to support the charitable causes they are most passionate about, whether during the weekdays or weekends.

This program allows team members to support causes close to their hearts, including Danielle Cavaretta, an AmeriCU teammate who volunteers with the Alzheimer’s Association of Central New York in memory of her dad. “Helping raise awareness and connect others with resources is a meaningful way for me to give back,” said Danielle.

In 2025, AmeriCU teammates went above and beyond to strengthen the communities we call home. Through more than 1,700 volunteer hours, participation in 181 events, and support for over 100 organizations, the team demonstrated what it means to truly live our mission. With the enhancements to the volunteerism program that impact will only grow in 2026.
