ROME, N.Y. – JUNE 16, 2026: In recognition of National Homeownership Month, AmeriCU Credit Union is helping prospective homebuyers take the next step toward homeownership through a free virtual homebuying seminar designed to provide practical guidance and valuable savings opportunities.
The virtual seminar is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, June 30 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM and will walk participants through key stages of the homebuying process, including preparing finances, understanding mortgage options, navigating pre-approval, and planning for closing costs. Homebuyer workshop attendees who later close on an AmeriCU mortgage may qualify for a $400 rebate toward their closing costs.
As many individuals and families continue to navigate a competitive housing market, understanding the homebuying process can help buyers make informed financial decisions and feel more confident throughout their journey.
“Purchasing a home is one of the most significant financial decisions many people will make,” said David Ocasio Ross, AmeriCU’s AVP of Mortgage Sales. “Our goal is to provide education, resources, and support that help make the process more approachable while offering meaningful savings for those ready to take the next step.”
