AmeriCU Credit Union Welcomes Back Desiree Derby as Financial Center Manager

SYRACUSE, NY – SEPTEMBER 24, 2025: AmeriCU Credit Union is pleased to announce the addition of Desiree Derby as the new Financial Center Manager at its Fayetteville location. With more than 25 years of experience in the banking industry, Desiree brings extensive knowledge of retail and commercial banking to the credit union.

Desiree began her career with AmeriCU in 2018 as an MRA. She later advanced to the role of financial center manager and is now excited to return to the credit union. Over the years, she has held a variety of leadership roles, including assistant manager, financial center manager, retail banking officer, and small business relationship manager. Each of these positions has provided Deisree with a deeper understanding of members’ needs and how to truly support them in meaningful ways.

“I was drawn back to AmeriCU because of the culture and the support it provides at every level,” said Desiree. “For me, it’s more than just a job – it’s the sense of belonging to something meaningful within the community. Being here gives you the feeling that your work genuinely impacts people’s lives in a positive way.”
