UTICA, NY – APRIL 9, 2025: AmeriCU Credit Union is excited to welcome David Smith as one of the newest members of its mortgage team. With a decade of experience as a mortgage loan officer, David is passionate about helping individuals and families achieve their dream of homeownership.
David will be serving members at AmeriCU’s North Utica and Herkimer financial centers and will focus on providing personalized mortgage solutions while actively engaging with AmeriCU members through branch involvement and community outreach.
“The people I work with are not just numbers, they become family,” said David. “I take pride in building trust with members and make sure they feel supported throughout the homebuying process. AmeriCU’s deep community roots and commitment to members align perfectly with my values and I look forward to making a meaningful impact.”
David is a strong advocate for community engagement and brings more than just financial expertise to AmeriCU. He serves as the head Boys Varsity Basketball Coach for West Canada Valley Junior and Senior High School, where he mentors young athletes, and is the president of Mohawk Valley Sports Charities.
Outside of work, David is a devoted family man who values quality time with his loved ones. He enjoys camping, traveling, and staying active, especially when it involves sports. AmeriCU is excited to welcome David and looks forward to the impact he will make in both the credit union and the community.
