ID Check Solutions
We take your security seriously. To make Shared Branching even more secure, AmeriCU along with all other Shared Branching Credit Unions, are introducing a new ID proofing measure for in-person visits to Shared Branch locations. This new fraud prevention measure allows us to make certain it is YOU trying to access your account, not an imposter.
If you’re using an out-of-state ID to bank at one of our Shared Branching locations, a Teller will authenticate your account access using a QR code and one-time passcode. Then, you’ll be banking in no time!
Here’s How It Works
1. Scan the QR code located in the branch or visit verify.coop.org.
2. Choose your credit union from the dropdown list.
3. Enter your member number and the last four digits of your SSN.
4. Upload a photo of your ID.
5. Take a selfie to confirm your identity.
6. Receive a one-time passcode (valid for 20 minutes) and show it to the teller.
