HERKIMER, NY – DECEMBER 12, 2023: AmeriCU Credit Union’s Herkimer Team sponsored two children in the village of Herkimer to Shop with a Cop. The credit union is proud to support this program to foster community connections while adding a touch of fun. The Shop with a Cop program has been ensuring that children in the community experience a memorable holiday season.
The credit union’s support helped police officers to team up with local children and take them holiday shopping at the Walmart in Herkimer. Each child is given a certain amount of money to spend on presents for themselves and their family. The AmeriCU Herkimer Team also helped the children wrap their presents and passed out hot chocolate to participants.
“By generously supporting this program, we’re making a tremendous impact that ignites our passion for giving back this holiday season. Our team not only provides financial services within our community but wholeheartedly volunteers to uplift and enrich our community, stated Erica Lebert, Financial Center Manager.
