Salute to the Troops

Multi-platinum hitmaker Justin Moore has built a loyal following over the past decade with his traditional country sound and captivating live shows. With ten number one hits and six studio albums, two of which are platinum certified, he is currently climbing the country radio charts with his current single, ‘With a Woman You Love’, off of his latest album Straight Outta the Country. He is also well known in the military community for his song ‘The Ones That Didn’t Make It Back Home,’ which pays tribute to soldiers who have not returned from duty, a poignant and especially touching song that is so inspiring and truly resonates.

Lauren first captured our hearts as the bright, bold voice on Season 10 of American Idol. Ten years into her career, she is now one of country music’s most authentic voices and beloved personalities. Her first album, Wildflower, debuted at #1 on the iTunes country chart, and she was the youngest female to ever have her album debut that high since Miss Leann Rhimes, so that should tell you what an incredible, powerhouse singer she is. Her third studio album, Sitting Pretty on Top of the World, is available now and her current single, ‘Getting Over Him’ is currently climbing the country singles charts.

Since 2011, AmeriCU Credit Union has been honored to present the Salute to the Troops Tribute Concert at FMWR’s Mountainfest. This day-long event is in recognition and thanks to the soldiers of the United States Army 10th Mountain Division for their valiant service and support to our country, and the tribute concert provides a time for honor, recognition, celebration, and the chance to hear some of the best artists and acts country music has to offer.

The 10^th Mountain Division is a light infantry stationed on Fort Drum, and since 2001 has been the most deployed unit of the US military. In 2012, after being deployed for more than 10 years, the soldiers returned to Fort Drum. AmeriCU members in the Fort Drum community wanted to do something special to welcome them home, so they worked with credit union officials, the Fort Drum community, and countless sponsors eager to support the soldiers, to create the Salute to the Troops Tribute Concert.

Country music artist Justin Moore is set to headline AmeriCU’s 10^th Salute to the Troops Tribute Concert at Fort Drum’s Mountainfest, with special guest Lauren Alaina.

The concert will be held on Wednesday, August 31, 2022 on Fort Drum. AmeriCU is proud to present this event each year to honor and give thanks to the U.S. Army 10^th Mountain Division soldiers, their families, and the Fort Drum community, for their valiant service and sacrifice to our country. More than 15,000 people attend the concert each year, which remains free and open to the public.

The Salute to the Troops Tribute Concert is held in cooperation with co-sponsors FMWR, Carthage Area Hospital, Fort Drum Mountain Community Homes, Martin’s Point, the USO, Waite Toyota, CUNA Mutual Group, Waite Motorsports, Wahl Media, Community Broadcasters, and NBC Watertown.

Fort Drum Post will open at 12PM on Wednesday, August 31. The Salute to the Troops Tribute Concert begins at 7PM, with an amazing fireworks display after dark.
